Billy Bunders, a wide-eyed innocent boy growing up on a farm in western Kansas, was fascinated by the new technology of his time, the telegraph and aviation. He believed, as did everyone, that technology would bring the world together in peace. Instead the War to End All Wars invented new horrible ways to kill, weapons that fueled all wars that followed. Aug. 25, Friday, 8pm, “Centennial Celebration,” Bridgton Hospital will be hosting a community celebration in honor of the hospital’s centennial.
