June 9, Friday, 7:30pm, “Chris Humphrey Tribute to the Rat Pack,” with big band musicians and singers. The concert is a fundraiser for the downtown revitalization organization Heart of Biddeford as well as for the Biddeford Middle School music programs. Chris Humphrey’s band is comprised of New England’s finest musicians dedicated to playing great big band jazz, and committed to creating a wonderful evening for the audience. Members of the band have played with many musical luminaries including Louis Bellson, Clark Terry, James Moody, Artie Shaw, Guy Lombardo, Tony Bennett, Bob Mintzer, Frank Sinatra, Dizzy Gillespie, The Beach Boys, The Four Tops and The Temptations among others. Hailing from roots deep in the Maritimes and Quebec, the Roy’s musical passion lies with the French Canadian tradition, followed closely by Celtic music. The Don Roy Ensemble has played at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, appeared with Garrison Keillor, and performed on two occasions at the Kennedy Center.
