“Gardens Aglow at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens,” Boothbay

Nov. 25, Friday, 7:30pm, “Livingston Taylor,” From top-40 hits “I Will Be in Love with You” and “I’ll Come Running,” to “I Can Dream of You” and “Boatman,” both recorded by his brother James, Livingston’s creative output has continued unabated. His musical knowledge has inspired a varied repertoire, and he is equally at home with a range of musical genres—folk, pop, gospel, jazz—and from upbeat storytelling to touching ballads. Livingston’s latest album, “Blue Sky,” was released in the spring of 2014. It is the third in a series of albums over the last decade that includes There You Are Again (2005) and Last Alaska Moon (2009). Nov. 25-27, Friday-Sunday, 4pm, “Gardens Aglow at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens,” the biggest and brightest light display in Maine! We’re lighting up the winter nights here at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens with even more lights this year. That’s right – the largest light display in Maine just got larger! Over 360,000 (and counting!) LED lights will decorate our central gardens and buildings. Visitors to Gardens Aglow are encouraged to buy their tickets online to save money, help regulate the flow of traffic in and out of Gardens Aglow, and help ensure that all guests have the best experience possible at the event. Nov. 26, Saturday, 11am-4pm, “Christmas Tree Lighting, Jingle Bell Walk & Visit with Santa,” Santa Claus for the kick-off to an Old-Fashioned Christmas in Bath. This children’s event begins at 11 a.m. in the Patten Free Library Children’s Room with story-time and ornament making. Santa will arrive at 3 p.m. for the Children’s Tree Lighting in the Gazebo in Library Park. Children are encouraged to hang their handmade ornaments on the tree. Jingle bells will be distributed father walk with Santa to City Hall for cookies, caroling, refreshments, and a visit with Mr. & Mrs. Claus.
