Sept. 1, Thursday, 6:30pm, “New England’s Stone Walls,” with Kevin Gardner, author and master stone builder, learn why New England came to acquire its thousands of miles of stone walls and how the styles evolved and changed over time. Mr. Gardner often varies is talks to suit the audience covering topics like techniques for stone wall building, design and variations. Sept. 4-7, Sunday-Wednesday, various times/venues, “26th Annual Capriccio Ogunquit’s Festival of the Arts,” showcasing Ogunquit’s rich cultural heritage. Capriccio is defined as “a joyous musical composition or work of art, in free form, and brilliant in style.” It’s a perfect title for Ogunquit’s town-wide Festival of the Arts, this year marking its 26th year of celebrating and saluting Ogunquit’s wonderful arts organizations. Coordinated by Ogunquit Performing Arts, an expanded Festival is planned, occurring September 4th through September 18th, 2016, throughout Ogunquit.
