Dec. 26, Saturday, 2pm, “Sing Along to Grease,” calling all Pink Ladies, T-Birds and other fans of Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson: Bring your gang to Sing-a-long-a “Grease,” Pre-screening entertainment will include a vocal warm-up and the distribution of free fun packs for audience members to use during the show. The stage musical “Grease” premiered at the off-Broadway Eden Theatre New York City, before transferring to Broadway in June 1972. The 1978 hit movie based on this show about good girl Sandy and greaser Danny and their 1950s Rydell High School classmates stars John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. “Grease” is the word – so bring your friends and neighbors to The Strand to enjoy this fun, classic film. Dec. 26-27, Saturday and Sunday, 4-10pm/Sat, 4-9pm/Sun, “Gardens Aglow,” the staff at the Coastal Botanical Gardens have put on their elf ears, sprinkled magic dust and magically transformed the central gardens from a garden paradise to a winter wonderland. Dec. 30, Wednesday, 2pm, “Sruli and Lisa, Klezmer Music Group,” Jewish folk music, the music the Jewish people sang, played and danced to throughout the hundred of years that they lived in Eastern Europe: in the countries of Russia, Poland, Ukraine, Hungary, Bulgaria and Rumania.
