Nov. 14, Saturday, 7:30pm, “Frank Vignola and Vinny Raniolo,” Frank Vignola is one of the most extraordinary guitarists performing before the public today. His stunning virtuosity has made him the guitarist of choice for many of the world’s top musicians, including Ringo Starr, Madonna, Donald Fagen, Wynton Marsalis, Tommy Emmanuel, Mark O Connor, the Boston Pops, the New York Pops, and guitar legend Les Paul, who named Vignola to his “Five Most Admired Guitarists List” for the Wall Street Journal. Vignola’s jaw-dropping technique explains why the New York Times deemed him “one of the brightest stars of the guitar.” Vinny Raniolo is a rhythm guitarist in high demand. The November walk will take place on Kennebunk Land Trust’s Oxbow Preserve on Spiller Drive off Cat Mousam Road in Kennebunk(see directions below), and will focus on the status of plants and animals in mid-Autumn in a mixed conifer hardwood forest on the banks (Riparian Zone)of the Mousam River. Please note that this will be an easy to moderate walk with an initial moderate descent to the intervale next to the river; a small portion of the trail is wet so wear appropriate footwear.
