Start your day with a cup of coffee on the wrap-around deck. End the day here as well, enjoying the moon’s reflection on the lake or listening to the loon family in the cove.
A three-car heated garage is attached to the house making for easy in and out during the winter months.

And there is another heated, detached garage—just right for winter boat storage or a children’s playroom. Above this garage, you’ll find an in-law apartment with a kitchenette and bedroom.

On the private four-acre lot, you’ll also find several other small buildings including a greenhouse, wood shed and generator shed. Seriously—a greenhouse. Margaret, the current owner, says, “The property has raised beds that offer perennials, blueberries and a greenhouse for early seasonal crops.” For all the buildings, she mentions, “It is quality construction with thoughtful extras.”

Then there’s the 392 feet of water frontage on Peabody Pond, known for its above average water quality. This 735-acre pond is described by Peter Lowell, executive director of Lakes Environmental Association as “One of the Cream of the Crop lakes in our area.”
Named for Captain John Peabody, one of the first settlers of South Bridgton, Peabody Pond is tucked away along the boundaries of Sebago, Naples and Bridgton. The pond is known for great fishing. Bass, yellow perch, chain pickerel, landlocked salmon, brook trout and lake trout are among the fine catches.
Margaret says, “We have had many memories on the lake in our boat; going on sunset cruises, tubing and water skiing. Our neighbors are helpful and we look out for each other. With four acres of private land, this is a wonderful open space for cookouts, family reunions and/or weddings. My husband had my 60th birthday in our yard with many family, friends and neighbors. We were comfortable with space and enjoyed our time.”
When we asked her about the best feature of the property, she had this to say, “The best feature of the property is that it all ties together to make you feel like you are in a safe, beautiful space.”
Margaret and her husband are moving closer to their children and grandchildren. “We have mixed emotions of selling this property. We have enjoyed it so much.”
That means all those thoughtful extras that make this property cream of the crop are waiting for you. Don’t hesitate. Give us a call.
