The year-round house features three rooms and one full bath, plus an attached garage. The kitchen is small, but fully equipped. Beside it is the living room, with pine walls and a fieldstone fireplace. The upstairs space is a bedroom, which easily fits two double beds.

A three-season porch and extra-large, attached garage complete the living space.
Brettuns Pond is only steps away and the flat property features 169 feet of water frontage. Mary, the current owner, says, “The water view is of the cove and out to the other side of the pond’s homes. The sunrises are beautiful.” Since 1999, she’s enjoyed them each morning.
The pond, known as “The Greatest Little Pond in Maine,” encompasses 165 acres and has a maximum depth of 42 feet with an average depth of 15 feet. The water quality is average.
The property features a variety of berries, including blackberries, strawberries and blueberries, as well as wildflowers.
If you enjoy wildlife sitings, then this is the place for you. “I’ve had a moose in my yard,” says Mary.” I’ve seen deer roaming across the pond in the winter. The loons and other birds are plentiful.”
Since you won’t need to spend time cleaning, you can head right out the door and enjoy a variety of activities from swimming, boating and fishing to cross-country skiing, ice skating and snowmobiling. “Black Mountain hikes are directly across Route 108,” says Mary. “And Turner Highlands Golf Course is a challenging course, yet convenient, with great food.
Livermore is a quaint, rural community with relatively low taxes. From the house, you can easily walk to two local variety stores for pizza, sandwiches and other necessities. Added bonus: ice cream shops nearby. And the local hardware store is only a mile away. Plus, it’s only twenty miles to all the amenities offered in Lewiston/Auburn.
“This was supposed to be my retirement home,” says Mary. “It’s such a lovely spot, full of memories I will cherish for a lifetime! I will humbly sell it. It’s someone else’s turn to enjoy it…God willing.” Unfortunately, she had a fall two years ago and can no longer maintain the property the way she had intended.
That means the door is open for you—let this become your place to lounge on the hammock, listen to the cry of the loons and toast marshmallows under the night sky. Click on the blue box above to learn more about the property.
