May 1, Friday, 7pm, “USM Chamber Singers in Concert,” this concert is the 24th in the Music with a Mission series sponsored by the North Windham Union Church, the church donates a portion of the proceeds to area non-profits, the first 23 concerts have provided over $20,000 for mission support to the church and other community organizations, the community proceeds from this concert will help cover the Chamber Singers’ travel costs as they are preparing for their annual tour, which this year includes a series of concerts throughout Croatia, “we are very proud to welcome the USM Chamber Singers to our Music with a Mission series,” said Dr. Richard Nickerson, Minister of Music for NWUC. “this choir has been delighting audiences in Greater Portland for many years, we are honored to host their final concert before they leave for Croatia, and to celebrate the occasion of Dr. Russell’s final performance with the USM Chamber Singers on US soil, $1/adults, $10/seniors and students, North Windham Union Church, 723 Roosevelt Trail, Windham.
