Feb. 26, Thursday, 7-8:30pm, “Japanese Gardens in Maine,” Camden landscape architect Lee Schneller Sligh’s illustrated talk, ‘Japanese Gardens in Maine.’ Sligh, who specializes in Japanese gardens, has designed over 250 gardens in Maine, free, Camden Public Library, 55 Main St., Camden. Feb. 27 – March 1, Friday – Sunday, 7pm/Fri. and Sat., 2pm/Sun., “As it is in Heaven,” the play, written by Arlene Hutton, depicts a defining moment in the history of the Shakers when visions and revelations were experienced by many members in a spiritual renaissance, it features many Shaker hymns and dances. After the Friday 27 performance, there will be a post-show conversation between Brother Arnold from the Sabbathday Lake Shaker community in Western Maine, and Michael Komanecky, Chief Curator at the Farnsworth Art Museum, $10 – $25, Rockport Opera House, 6 Central St., Rockport.
