The Albany Hills Surround Keewaydin Lake in Stoneham, Maine


Lakefront property on Songo Pond in Albany and Keewaydin Lake in Stoneham, Maine, features mountain backdrops for all your photo ops. Round Mountain
Along the way of this 1.8 mile round-trip hike, enjoy scenic views of the White Mountains. You’ll also have a good view of the church, parsonage and grange hall in Albany.

Bethel Pathway
Along the Androscoggin River is the 1.5 mile Bethel Pathway. This paved pathway meets ADA standards and was built for walkers, bikers, roller bladers, runners, skateboarders, snowshoers, cross-country skiers and those in wheelchairs. You’ll also find a skatepark, playground, covered picnic tables and boat launch at Davis Park.

Mount Will
The 3.3 mile loop up and around the 1,736-foot Mount Will begins with a nature trail. The natural history of local flora and fauna is explained on plaques along the first section of the trail. Views from the ridge include the Androscoggin River Valley and Bethel Village.

Sabattus Mountain Trail
The Sabattus Mountain Trail leads hikers along a well-marked trail to the highest peak in Lovell. At the ledges along the summit ridge, views extend from Pleasant Mountain toward Kezar Lake and the White Mountains. It takes about 45 minutes to read the ledges.

Mount Tir’em
                                             
The ledge at the top of the Daniel Brown Trail provides a perfect vantage point to view the lakes and surrounding mountains of Waterford, including Bear and Pleasant Mountains.

Trail Access: Plummer Hill Road, Waterford
HawkMountain
                               
A gradual uphill walk on a gravel road leads to the summit. At the intersection, stay right. During spring and fall migration, the summit ledges are a prime spot to watch the bird of prey for which this mountain was named.
