May 3, Saturday, 7:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., “Greater Freeport Community Chorus Spring Concert, Sun Moon Stars Rain,” Led by Director Virgil Bozeman and accompanist Dorothy Cuprak, the 65-member Greater Freeport Community Chorus will present a dozen selections celebrating the seasons in a concert titled “Sun Moon Stars Rain.” the varied program includes “Sun’s A-Risin,’ ” a composition about waking before dawn to tackle farm chores; Irving Berlin’s “I Got the Sun in the Morning,” from the musical “Annie Get Your Gun”; and “Rain, Rain, Beautiful Rain,” a piece recorded by the South African choral group Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Admission is $10 for adults, with children 12 and under free.
