Feb. 6, Thursday, 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., “19th Century Romanticism in Music,” from 1797 to 1810 a wonderful group of composers was born, the heirs of Beethoven, they started a new musical style called Romanticism, we will explore similarities and differences among the compositions of Franz Schubert, Hector Berlioz, Frederic Chopin, Felix Mendelssohn, and Robert Schumann, important themes will be their interest in poetry and the importance of the piano in the 19th century, instructor Marge Roberts is an art historian and amateur musician, see costal senior college for details, Camden Public Library, 55 Main Street, Camden.
