Oct. 19, Saturday, 10:00 a.m., “Lulu Coat Ride,” the cruise features a demonstration of lobster fishing, seal watching, sightseeing and folklore. Captain John Nicolai hauls the lobster traps during the cruise to show just what a commercial lobsterman does to catch the lobsters. The route usually goes by Egg Rock Lighthouse to visit the seal colony there. Bald eagles are often sited at this venue. Some lighthouse and local history are also part of the tour. The entire cruise is set in Frenchman Bay and around the Porcupine Islands offering a nice sightseeing opportunity of the harbor and Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island throughout.
